Account preferences
The settings that belong to you: your password, name, language, the guided tour, two-factor authentication, and how Edmund looks.
EveryoneYour personal settings live in the account menu. Open it from the button in the bottom-left corner, then choose Account preferences. The same menu also holds the theme switch and the logout button. These settings affect only your own account, not anyone else in the organization.
Account information
This area shows the email address you sign in with. Next to it is Change password, which lets you set a new password for your account.
If you can’t sign in and need to reset a forgotten password, that’s a separate flow — see Password & 2FA recovery.
Profile & language
Under Profile you can set:
- Full name — the name shown for you in the app.
- Language — the interface language. Choose English, Čeština, Deutsch, or Polski.
Select your name and language, then press Save to keep the changes.
Product tour
The product tour is a guided walkthrough of Edmund’s features inside the app. Use the toggle in Account preferences to turn it on or off. Turn it on when you’re learning the app, and turn it off once you know your way around.
Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second check when you sign in, so a password alone isn’t enough to reach your account. Press Set up to turn it on. During setup, Edmund generates backup codes.
Backup codes let you sign in if you lose access to your second factor. Save them somewhere safe and private when they’re shown — you’ll need them for recovery. See Password & 2FA recovery for what to do if you’re locked out.
Theme & sign out
The account menu also holds two controls that aren’t inside Account preferences:
- Theme — choose System, Dark, or Light. System follows your device setting.
- Logout — sign out of Edmund on this device.
If something here isn’t working as described, or you can’t reach a setting you expect, see Get help.
